Error after the timebomb was activated in Windows Vista build 5384

Since Microsoft did not want their beta testers (and any other individuals who got a hold of their builds) to use their beta builds as main OSes, they put a timebomb on Windows pre-release versions. When a timebomb expires, these will happen:

  • On Windows XP and Vista (and some early Windows 7) betas, you can't log on.
  • On Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 betas, the bootleg restarts every hour.
  • On Windows 10 betas, the bootleg can't start at all, thanks to flight signing.
