Waleder XP SP3 is a bootleg Windows XP SP2 edition, which was created by Waleder (Ramadan Al-Gharbawi). It released on November 11, 2007, and was added to the archive on April 6, 2024.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP2 ISO. Despite the title claiming it's Service Pack 3, it's actually SP2 with pre-SP3 updates. It comes with many themes and wallpapers. It comes with its own WPI, with many programs included.

After logging in for the first time, registry tweaks will be applied and then the WPI will be run.

It comes with a new autorun. Through it, you can view a page where it states you can't upgrade (the header states Service Pack 3, this is not true as stated earlier), run the WPI, access a serial key for the OS, run Windows XP [all] and Widnwos (sic) 2003 Server [all]] activate crack.exe and browse the CD. The OS is updated with RyanVM Update Pack 2.1.10 October 2007, according to the autorun.

It comes with a new boot selector. Through it, you can access Norton Commander 5.0, Arabic DOS (Windows ME emergency boot floppy with MS-DOS Arabic Support Version 1.0 by Ahmad Atef, from August 3, 2003) and Hiren's Boot CD 7.7.

The ISO was made using nLite 1.3, the boot selector used was EasyBoot 5.1 and the autorun was created with StartCD 1.2 Build 94.

Bootleg quirks

  • The Command Prompt colors are changed to aqua on dark blue.
  • FreeCell and Minesweeper are supposed to be replaced with Chicken Invaders 2 and Frogger 2, but the WinRAR SFX they are in will not overwrite the files, therefore it will not work.
  • The title of Internet Explorer is changed to "waleder Internet Explorer"
