Windows 7 Android Edition 2014 is a bootleg Windows 7 SP1 edition, which was created by Freeware Sys. It released on December 21, 2013, and was added to the archive on December 9, 2021.

This is Freeware Sys's first bootleg to have the Freeware Sys branding.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows 7 SP1 ISO. It is themed after Android. It comes with registry tweaks.

It comes with its own WPI, which appears once on first boot.

It comes with its own autorun, which plays music. Through it you can install the bootleg or access the WPI. You can also toggle the music, view the specifications of this bootleg, view about info for the author (or the OS), and see the credits.

It is partially unattended (in the OOBE you only have to enter username and password), and preactivated. The ISO was made using RT 7 Lite.

Changes from Windows 7 SP1

Minor changes

• The OS text has been changed to "Android Edition".
• The setup copying text has been changed to "Please Be Patient, DiLshad Sys is Installing Android Edition On Your System. Thank You For Choosing DiLshad Sys Product. Follow us on Facebook fb.com/freewaresys for Updates!".
• There are now 2 OSes to choose from, their names both being in alternating caps: "aNdRoiD EdiTioN 2014" for the 32-bit version, and "aNDroiD EdiTioN 2014" for the 64-bit version.
• New desktop context menu items added. Personalize, Screen resolution and the others have been deleted in favor of "Change Theme", "Change Wallpaper" and "Desktop Icons Settings".
• New context menu items added to My Computer
• System notification icons have been modified
• 3 new places added to My Computer: Power Options, Run and Search
• New OEM information has been added
• New About Windows banner

Changes in pre-desktop procedures

• New setup graphics. The background is now a dark, cyan-glowing background with the Android logo on it. The setup window and its buttons have once again been changed.

Differences between the 32-bit and 64-bit version

Minor changes

• Personalize, Screen resolution and others have returned

Major changes

• The Blue Edition references are gone. In fact, this is actually based off of a clean Windows 7 ISO! RT 7 Lite 2.6 was used to modify it, and it was made on 12/19/2013 2:29:27 AM.
• The WPI breaks when trying to install programs
• The default theme is now Aero Climax
• 1 new theme added, 4 themes deleted

Notes

Bootleg quirks

• You can also find RocketDock on the root of the C: drive, therefore making it a duplicate of the one on the Desktop.

Setup quirks

• The black text blends in with the dark setup background, making them harder to read.
• The setup's special symbols do not display in the correct font and appear out of place.
• The OOBE dialog will appear in classic theme.
• There are references to 'Blue Edition', both in the Starting Services text and the pre-OOBE portion.
• The part of Setup which happens before the pre-OOBE portion is now in Arial font.

WPI quirks

• VLC Media Player has uTorrent's icon. FileZilla and Google Talk have just generic icons.
• Silverlight doesn't work, because the files do not exist.
• The Visual C++ redistributable have a weird naming scheme. They are referred to as "Microsoft .C++ ([last 2 numbers of the year in their version])".
