Windows 7 Avengers Edition 2015 is a bootleg Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 edition, which was created by Freeware Sys.

The 32-bit version was released on June 25, 2015, while the 64-bit version was released 5 days after the 32-bit version. The 64-bit version was added to the archive on December 12, 2021, while the 32-bit version was found and added later on February 13, 2023.

Description

The bootleg is a modified and stripped down Windows 7 SP1 ISO. It is themed after The Avengers movie from 2012, it comes with programs, themes, wallpapers and updates.

The differences with 32-bit and 64-bit version are having different setup background, a slight different program set (which replaces an anti-virus software and adds 2 programs in the 64-bit version), the OOBE and the login graphics, and the desktop visualization, which aren't the same with both, otherwise, they do come with tweaks applied.

The autorun for both were made using AutoPlay Media Studio.

Remarks

  • A Windows 7 bootleg that's based on the 32-bit version of this bootleg was released 2 months after it, which shares the same software set and whatnot.

Bootleg quirks

  • There's a link on the desktop that goes to the activation website, which it activates the bootleg as it's not activated by default, while the 64-bit version comes with Activator and Forum links on the desktop.
  • The command prompt's foreground color has been set to red.
  • Notepad's default font has been set to Tahoma at 9px.
  • The taskbar is unlocked.

WPI

  • The Mozilla Firefox and WinRAR come with themes and extensions integrated, but they're not installed by default, so you have to reinstall them in order to be available.

CD contents and other info

  • The CD's have their own icons.
  • The autorun plays music in the 32-bit version, but it couldn't be played in the 64-bit one because it's missing.
  • The volume labels for both ISO's are set to Avengers-Edition-15 (32-bit) and Avengers Edition FreewareSys15 (64-bit) respectively.

Autounattend.xml metadata

  • The full name and organization are set to "Freeware Sys 2015 - www.facebook.com/FreewareSys" and "Freeware Sys 2015 - www.freewaresys.com" respectively.
    • Apparently, these are usually the links to the author's website.
