Windows 7 Evolution x64 2018 is a bootleg Windows 7 SP1 edition, which was created by Kirk of Soft4Win. It released on May 1, 2018, and was added to the archive on April 6, 2024.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows 7 SP1 ISO. There have been many programs integrated. The OS has been thoroughly themed thanks to the HUD-Blue Skin Pack.

During the pre-OOBE segment, a batch script will run which will do the following:

Install KB4019990 x64
Install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.1 Slim x86/x64
Install HUD-Blue Skin Pack 1.0
Start Run.cmd, which will install Icon Pack HUD EVOLUTION v1.0
Install Windows Defender
Install KB890830 x64
Install KB2533552 x64
Delete RocketDock shortcut in the Startup directory
Change to running directory (where the script is)
Reset all attributes in said directory
Schedule a restart in 5 seconds
Delete self
Wipe the scripts directory entirely

There exists Rarity Aero Glass IconPack along with the other software, but it's never used.

After this, you will be greeted with a RunOnce Installer dialog. The only software available to install is Theme Resource Changer X64 v1.0.

It is preactivated. The ISO was made using RT 7 Lite and Win Toolkit v1.4.47.2.

Changes from Windows 7 SP1

Minor changes

The setup OS text is changed to "Windows 7 Evolution" and "Windows Evolution". The OS name in the OS selector is now "Windows 7 Evolution 2018".

Changes in pre-desktop procedures

The setup now uses Windows 10 Anniversary Update's engine.
New setup graphics. New setup background. The progress bar at the bottom is gone, and there are new window buttons. The setup window background now uses a green-tinted partially transparent background.
