Windows 7 Lunar Edition 2022 is a bootleg Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 edition, which was created by LunarDVD. It released on July 10, 2022, and was added to the archive on December 28, 2024.
Description
The bootleg is a modified Windows 7 ISO. It's designed to look like Windows 11 because of icon set and the sound scheme. It comes with themes, and mostly with Windows Classic theme wariants, updates, themes, wallpapers and programs that can be installed using WPI 8.7.2 from the desktop, though all programs that have registration requirement are not registered.
It is unattended. It was made using NTLite 2.3.6.8792 on Windows 11 Professional 22H2 (22621.160).
Changes from Windows 7 SP1
Minor changes
- The taskbar uses small icons and it's buttons option is set to never combine.
- New Run... dialog.
- New Winver banner.
Changes in pre-desktop procedures
- New setup graphics.
- New pre-OOBE graphics, though it has typo on the italic text from the brand, which it says "Ultinate".
- The OOBE is skipped by default.
- New login graphics.

- 7 new themes and 17 new Windows Classic theme variants included.
- 248 new wallpapers included, though some are originated from Windows 7 as their themes are removed.

Notes
Bootleg quirks
- AVG Internet Security and Brave Browser can't install without internet connection.
- There are two new shortcuts on the start menu, which are Log off and Turn off, which shows a modified XP's logoff and shutdown dialogs style, as they're present on the hard disk's root directory, which is hidden by default.
CD contents and other info
- The CD root has a custom icon that it intends to be applied as the default autorun icon.
- The CD label is set to "WINDOWS_LUNAR".

- The full name and organization name are set to "User1" and "WORKGROUP" respectively.
