Windows Abo Fouda XP 2012 (also known as Windows Abo Fouda XP SP3 V.1 2012 or Windows Abo Fouda XP V.1 2012) is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by Mahmoud Tarek Fouda. It released on December 25, 2012, and was added to the archive on December 12, 2021.
Description
The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO with DriverPack integrated. It is mostly focused towards using Windows 7 and 8's looks, which is done with various customization programs. It is loaded with themes and Windows 8 wallpapers.
It comes with a WPI, with a few programs in it. It has an autorun where you can install the bootleg, run the WPI, browse the CD contents and access the author's Facebook page.
It is unattended and preactivated. The ISO was made using nLite 1.4.9.1, and the autorun was made with AutoPlay Menu Builder 6.2.0.645.

Minor changes
- The text-mode setup OS text is changed to "<<<WELCOME TO WINDOWS ABO FOUDA XP SP3 V.1 2012 BY :MAHMOUD TAREK FOUDA>>>".
- The desktop context menu has been edited to include several extra entries, including one where you can select a random wallpaper, and another where you can listen to a (long since dead) MMS stream which is supposedly a radio station
- OEM branding is included, along with Support Information
- The Run dialog now has a banner and date and time controls
- New Winver banner. The Winver bar has been removed

- The sound scheme is a strange mix of stock sounds, and Windows 7 and 8 sounds. The Menu Command and Popup sounds are taken from Plus! 98, the startup and shutdown (along with logon and logoff) sounds are replaced with religious chanting, and the Question sound is a sound effect of a door being knocked on

Notes
Bootleg quirks
- Custom Black Compact's theme is broken because the msstyle file for it doesn't exist. The closest theme that is related to Custom Black Compact is Custom Gold Platinum. It points to nonexistent cursors.
- There's a shortcut on the desktop that shuts your computer down.
- There is a link in the Start menu that goes to the author's Facebook page.
- The C: drive has a custom icon and folder background, as seen in the Gallery.
CD contents and other info
- The CD label is set to "ABOFOUDA_XP_2012".
- The CD now has an icon of a star.
- The autorun plays music and has animating text. Additionally, the cursor used in the autorun features emoticons from Indonesian forum Kaskus, as used from that time period, specifically the jempol1 (single thumbs up) and bingungs (confused, small version) emoticons.
