Windows Ice XP v4 Power Pack Multiboot System is a two-in-one bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by Greifi Grishnackh, released on October 14, 2008. and was added to archive on July 25, 2024.

Description

This bootleg is based on Windows XP SP3 ISO, unlike later versions, it comes with tons of softwares, themes, wallpapers and updates, it is the largest version of the Windows Ice XP series do to having 2.9 GB of size.

It comes with a boot selector, through it, you can install 2 editions of the bootleg, the Basic edition or the Evolution edition in either with or without SATA drivers, the difference between those is the Evolution edition has Windows Sidebar included, while the Basic edition doesn't have that, otherwise, they're identical. In addition, you can run the Windows Ice XP v4 Live, which it runs a BartPE-made Windows Ice XP Live CD with XPE features, you can also run the Windows XP Recovery Console or the Hiren's Boot CD 9.6.

It comes with it's own WPI, through it, you can install lots of softwares as some are selected by default, and apply tweaks.

It comes with it's own autorun, which you can view the info about this bootleg, install the Ice XP Evolution, launching the Windows Post-Install, visiting the website, browsing the DVD or rebooting the machine in order to install the bootleg.

It's unattended, but not preactivated, so you can activate it by going to the CD root and goint to the !CRACK! folder instead. It was made using nLite.

Notes

Bootleg quirks

  • WPI will crash while it's installing ZoneAlarm Pro and will launch the Application HTM report tool, but launching it wil popup that some programs are not installed as the installation process is not finished yet, so you have to press yes in order to complete the installation.
  • Avast Antivirus is not installed properly, so you'll have to reinstall it manually.
  • AVG Internet Security, Bitdefender and ESET smart security can't install because or an error occured for each one.
  • ZoneAlarm doesn't work after installing because of a missing framewrk.dll file.
  • Paint.NET is not installed properly, it requires .NET Framework 2.0 to be installed.
  • FastStone Image Viewer is not installed because it's installer is missing.
