Windows XP Coccinelle Edition 3.5 Special Edition is a bootleg Windows XP SP2 edition, which was created as part of the Coccinelle Edition series by Coccinelle of Fredisland.net. It released on December 1, 2007, and was added to the archive on July 25, 2024.
Description
The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP2 ISO. Believe it or not, it's an update to Windows XP Coccinelle Edition 3.0 Métamorphose that's made exclusively for "honorary" members, yeah that's right, it's available in PRO (OEM), HOME (OEM) and VLK (Professional Volume-License version), which was released nearly 11 months before this, and it's known that it comes with otherwise, what's changed, it has an additional boot menu that you can run on the safe mode with network support and a new splash (pre-boot screen), it updates some programs and has more updates integrated, .NET Framework 1.1 and Paint.NET are not present in this version, the HD Audio driver support is included, and it reduces the amount of wallpapers and lacks all themes (except one) and visual styles as they're replaced with new ones.
It's partially unattended and practivated, it was made using nLite.

Bootleg quirks
- Some items on the accessories are directly moved to the Programs directory on the start menu.
- Two folders are added to the start menu, the first one is for links to the directories' paths on the hard drive, and the other is for tons of registry tweaks.
- Add or Remove Programs control panel applet is added to the start menu.
- The Start menu now uses the Classic style by default.
- Internet Explorer comes preloaded with many links.
- The Explorer toolbar no longer has text, and it's icons are set to small.
