Windows XP EDKU Dreams 2010 is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by EDKU Dreams. It was released on December 16, 2009, and was added to the archive on April 6, 2024.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO, with Windows XP Post-SP3 QFE Update Pack and SATA drivers integrated.

It comes with its own boot selector. Through it, you can install 3 different versions of the bootleg, with varying looks, the fourth and the last one being a Hiren's Boot CD 10.0 clone menu, They all have recurring consistencies, such as the Command Prompt colors being white on black and the OEM branding, However, the only changes that are different are the setup, the login graphics, the system properties, run dialog, winver branding and more.

On the first boot of the OS, it starts extracting new stuff like themes, wallpapers and screen savers.

It comes with it's own Autorun, through it, you can install Java 6 Update 16 and Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 with a security update, you can also send an e-mail once you click on EdKU DReAmS XP.

It is unattended and preactivated. It was made using nLite 1.4.9.1, the Autorun was made using AutoPlay Media Studio 7.5.1006 and the boot menu was made using EasyBoot 5.12.

Notes

Bootleg quirks

The icons in classic start menu are corrupted in Dreams Blue version.
The System Properties' strings in the Dreams Seven version have System font used.
There's an item in the start menu called "registry", which it applies tweaks as it removes the "My" word in My Computer, My Network Places and My Documents on the desktop.
