Windows XP Unlimited Arabic is a fan-made version of Windows XP Unlimited based on Windows XP SP2, which was created by Abumada (Real name: Abumada Aljubairi). It was released on March 19, 2007, and was added to the archive on October 28, 2023.
Description
Even after a year, Windows XP Unlimited is still popular and known for its features and specially its games, and in that case Abumada who was known for making Arabic bootlegs, decides to make an Arabic version of this bootleg too.
Unlike Windows XP Unlimited, it doesn't have any interesting changes, and only 4 files from the English version were used. It was made using nLite.
Changes from Windows XP SP2
Changes in pre-desktop procedures
- The "مرحبا" (Welcome) text in login screen is now replaced with "بسم الله".
Differences comparing with Windows XP Unlimited
Minor differences
- The setup text remained in its original form.
- The new boot screen will be reverted after initial setup.
- The pre-OOBE graphics remained in its original form.
- The login screen background is now horizontally flipped.
- 2 updates have been integrated, KB929969 and KB928090. The scripts to install them are dropped to the C drive. They do not get cleaned up after they're done.
Major differences
- There are no longer any programs, wallpapers or screensavers bundled by default. A lot of things have remained in their original form, such as the logoff dialog and some of the sounds, namely the startup and shutdown sounds.
- Windows Media Player 11 and Internet Explorer 7 have been integrated.
- New default theme. 3 new themes included, about as much as there were color schemes in the English version's default theme.
