Windows XP WinSoft 2010 is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by WinSoft. It was released on January 30, 2010, and was added to the archive on August 13, 2024.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO. It comes with software, updates, driverpacks, wallpapers and avatars, and a new default theme and wallpaper set.

This bootleg is intended to be based on another Russian bootleg, XTremeCD v5.9.5, this is because it shares the same themes and screensavers and more.

It comes with it's own autorun, in addition to installing this mod, you can install LAN and sound driverpacks, view a collection of registry tweaks, go to the author's website or view product keys, when you close it, it shows a splash screen about the Windows XP WinSoft 2010 copy.

It comes with a boot selector integrated, through it, you can install the OS without SATA/RAID support, or with it in either unattanded mode or manual mode, in addition to those you can access Acronis Disk Director Suite 10 (Russian copy), Norton Partition Magic 8.05, Victoria 3.51 (Russian) and Memtest-86 3.3.

It is unattended and preactivated. The ISO was made using nLite, the autorun was made with Autorun Menu Builder 4.3.0.288 by Linasoft, and the boot selector used was Bootable CD Wizard v2.0a1.

  • The System Properties comes with OEM information and logo.
  • A list of commands you can use has been added to the Run prompt.
  • The Internet Explorer's home page is set to "winsoft.ucoz.org".

  • New Windows Vista boot screen, but in blue progress bar color

Notes

Bootleg quirks

  • The 1st option in the boot menu which it's the non-SATA/RAID integrated one doesn't work as it results of being having a missing txtsetup.sif.
  • 7-Zip 4.65, Microsoft XML 4.0 and Paint.NET 3.35 can't install as they popup an error message that they can't extract the files.

CD contents and other info

  • The CD label is set to WinSoft2010_CD
  • The CD root has a custom icon
  • There is a folder on the CD root named "CD&DVD - BOX", which contains theoretical box art for the OS itself.
  • The serial number is listed in a text file on the CD root.

WINNT.SIF metadata

  • The full name and organization names are set to "Admin" and "Microsoft.
  • The workgroup name is set to "WORKGROUP".
