X-Ray Man 2013 (also known as XRay Man 2013 and Windows Xray Man) is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by Sameh Goda. It released on February 25, 2013, and was added to the archive on December 12, 2021.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO with DriverPacks BASE 10.06, RyanVM Post-SP3 Update Pack 1.0.3 integrated. It styles the OS with a Windows 7 theme, which is blue-colored. It comes with a WPI, where all of the bundled programs lie.

The bootleg is capable of applying custom OEM branding based on your CPU's manufacturer.

It is unattended and preactivated. The bootleg was made using nLite 1.4.9.1, and the ISO was touched up with UltraISO 9.5.3.2900.

Changes from Windows XP SP3

Minor changes

  • The setup pre-loader message has been modified to be a giant "SAMEH GODA" text in green
  • The text-mode setup OS text is changed to "Windows Xray Man Setup".
  • The "Welcome" login string is now lowercase
  • My Computer is now "XRAYMAN"
  • The classic Start menu banner is changed
  • OEM branding is included, along with Support Information
  • System Properties now has an animating GIF on it. There is a banner to the left.
  • The Support Information dialog's text box is replaced with animating GIFs
  • The Run dialog now has a banner

Notes

Bootleg quirks

  • All of the Firefox extensions are disabled by default.
  • Foxdie, an included Firefox theme, is incompatible with the browser, yet it is still installed.
  • The default Start Menu style has been set to classic.
  • 53 deleted wallpapers can be found in the wallpapers' thumbnail cache file.

CD contents and other info

  • Although all the folders on the disc report a January 29, 2013 date, the latest file on I386 reports a January 31 date. REGTWEAKS in SVCPACK reports a February 25 date, which is where the release date comes from. Additionally, the ISO modified date is about the same.
  • Everytime a WPI program is installed successfully, a sound clip of a person saying "yes" will play.
  • The autorun has been removed.
  • The CD label is set to "WinLite".
