Lenovo XP 7 Style is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by an unknown author. It released on December 12, 2009, and was added to the archive on January 3, 2023.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO, which comes with DriverPacks 901r3 integrated. It is an attempt at emulating a Lenovo OEM installation of Windows 7. It comes with many updates integrated, and root certificates up to 2009. It comes with registry tweaks. It comes with its own autorun.

It is unattended and preactivated. The ISO was made using nLite, and the autorun was made with AutoPlay Media Studio 7.1.1000.0.

Changes from Windows XP SP3

Minor changes

• The text-mode setup OS text is changed
• The System Properties dialog has been rearranged. There has been Lenovo branding added on top of it.
• The Run dialog is now remodeled after Windows 7's Run dialog. It now has a Lenovo background included
• The Winver branding now has a Lenovo themed banner and bar

Bootleg quirks

• The taskbar is unlocked by default.
• The Internet Explorer title is set to "Lenovo XP 7 Style".

CD contents and other info

• The bundled registry tweaks come in a WinRAR SFX, which is disguised as an update (KB889320). It exists in both I386 and SVCPACK.
• The C: drive will get labeled to "Lenovo XP" during setup, using a batch script. It exists in both I386 and SVCPACK.

WINNT.SIF metadata

• The full name and organization is set to "Lenovo" and "Lenovo XP" respectively.
• The computer name is set to "Lenovo_XP".
