Windows XP Light SP2 is a bootleg Windows XP SP2 edition created by Captain Majid of Mz-Files, released in 2008 and added to the archive on December 9th, 2021.

Description

The bootleg is a stripped down Windows XP SP2 ISO with a boot selector integrated, which comes with several utilities, most of them being in DOS, and of course the actual bootleg itself. It has had some programs, games, themes, wallpapers and updates added.

The ISO was made using nLite.

Changes from Windows XP SP2

• New setup background
• New boot screen, with a semi-transparent shadow added to the Windows XP text. The kernel filename is listed for some odd reason.
• New login background and text
• 4 new themes included
• 2 new screensavers included
• The sound scheme is a mix of Windows XP, Windows Vista and the Plus! 98 "World Traveller" theme. The "Move Menu Item" event is assigned to the Windows 98 "Navigation Start" sound
• The CD root has had a custom background added to it
