Windows MA KI High Definition is the sequel to Windows MA KI, which released 2 months after the original, made by the same author. It is presently not in the archive, but it will be soon.
Description
The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO, with DriverPacks version 12.09, Windows XP Post-SP3 Update Pack version 20130611 and OnePiece IE8 Update Pack 4.3.0 integrated.
It comes with more themes and wallpapers than its predecessor, the wallpapers being in HD which makes sense because of the name MA KI High Definition. It comes with registry tweaks.
The script that sets the C: drive label to "HIGH DEFINITION" and a clean-up batch script will now run every startup.
It is unattended and preactivated. The bootleg was made using nLite and Windows Unattended CD Creator, and the autorun was made with AutoPlay Media Studio 8.0.1.0.
Changes from Windows MA KI
Minor changes
- The setup initial bootstrapper text's foreground and background color is set to white on light blue.
- The text-mode setup OS text is first set to "MA KI", then "MA KI High Definition". The copying text is also changed as well.
- Fast Explorer has been integrated into the system, which now provides extra menu items for the desktop context menu. There, you can access various websites and cycle through wallpapers. There are two different SFX'es that implement the latter for some reason.
- The Run dialog has been updated with new graphics
- OEM branding is included, along with Support Information.
Look and feel
- New default theme and icon set
- 23 new themes included, including the default theme.
- 200 new wallpapers included

Notes
Bootleg quirks
- The "( MA KI Plex Style )" theme doesn't work because it points to "Plex Style.msstyles", while the actual filename is "Plex Style (Media Center Edition).msstyles". Also, the icon paths point to the drive letter D.
- This bootleg borrows quite a few assets from Windows Speed Max.
- This bootleg has code to detect a WIHU on the CD, even though this bootleg doesn't have one.
- UberIcon and RocketDock are supposed to be present as an nLite addons, but since its corresponding INF files don't exist (even though they are specified in SYSOC.INF), they're actually setup hotfixes instead.
- The low disk space warning notification gets disabled in the most backwards way the author could've thought of - as a registry file in a SFX as a setup hotfix.
- The C: root now has its own custom icon. There is a duplicate of the drive icon. Its thumbnail cache file that gets dropped has leftover images for Windows Speed Max.
- The start menu uses the Classic style by default.
CD contents and other info
- There is an updated version of the previous cover from the first MA KI. It is gray, instead of blue.
- The CD has its own custom icon.
WINNT.SIF metadata
- System Restore is disabled by default.
- The full name is set to "MA KI".
- The computer name is set to "MAKI-PC".
- The workgroup name is set to "LAN".
- In GuiRunOnce, "maki.cmd" is a script that will be ran.
