Windows Elprofessor 2015 V1 (also known as WINDWOS ELPROFESSOR 2015 V1) is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by Mostafa Hegaze. It released on September 16, 2015, and was added to the archive on April 6, 2024.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO, which comes with DriverPacks BASE 8.12.5, OnePiece IE8 Update Pack 4.2.0 and Windows XP Post-SP3 Update Pack (QFE) version 20130312 integrated.

It comes with many themes and wallpapers, and some programs.

It comes with its own autorun. Through it, you can install Drvs3 with DriverPacks from March 4, 2009, and the additional programs that come with this bootleg along with 3 new programs exclusive to the CD.

It is unattended and preactivated. The bootleg was made using nLite 1.4.9.1, the autorun was made with AutoPlay Media Studio 8.2.0.0. The ISO was touched up with UltraISO 9.3.2.2656.

Changes from Windows XP SP3

Minor changes

  • The text-mode setup OS text is changed to "Windows XP elprofessor 2015 Setup".
  • The text-mode setup copying text inside the box with the progress bar is now "copying files elprofessor...", and the text in the right inside of the status bar is "Copying windows elprofessor files  :".
  • There is supposed to be OEM branding with Support Information, but its filename is misspelled (omeInfo.ini).
  • The Run dialog now has a banner
  • The Winver bar is now red
  • The shutdown dialog is changed

Changes in pre-desktop procedures

  • New setup graphics. Everything except the background and the bar on the bottom right is gone
  • New pre-OOBE graphics
  • The OOBE video is skipped
  • The OOBE is skipped
  • New login graphics

Look and feel

  • New default theme, and wallpaper
  • 11 new themes included
  • 70 new wallpapers included (supposed to be 98, but the first 28 wallpapers are missing)

  • New sound scheme. Some sounds are replaced. The startup and shutdown sounds were downloaded from mp3quran.net and were recorded in 2007. Most of the short sounds have been replaced with new, more discreet versions

Notes

Bootleg quirks

  • AIMP is supposed to have 11 new skins along with new configuration, but it gets extracted to a path in which the username is "Vortex", which is not the case, as it is actually "ELprofessor_pc".
  • There are leftovers from Windows Unattended CD Creator 0.9.8, but it is unclear if it was actually used for the additional programs or not.

  • The CD label is set to "WIN_ELPROFESSOR.".
  • The CD comes with its own custom icon.

WINNT.SIF metadata

  • The full name and organization is set to "mostafa hegaze" and "ELprofessor_pc".
  • The computer name is set to "ELPROFESSOR_PC".
