Windows HQ V2 is a Windows bootleg edition created by mmaciek12 released in 2011 and added to the archive on December 7th, 2022.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Polish Windows 2000 SP4 ISO whose purpose is to add Windows 7 branding to Windows 2000.

Changes from Windows 2000

  • The boot screen is set to a plain black background with white text. Due to a quirk with Windows 2000's ntoskrnl, the loading bar takes part of the text with it.
  • The setup background is replaced with the Windows 7 one
  • The system properties dialog is changed slightly
  • Many wallpapers have been added, some being from XP, while many of them come from Windows Vista and 7, betas included
  • Some icons have been changed to Windows 7 ones

Software

  • ViOrb
