Windows XP Shadow Lite SP3 is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by GP. It released on April 28, 2008, and was added to the archive on December 31, 2023.

Description

The bootleg is a stripped down Windows XP SP3 ISO. It comes with a Windows Vista theme, and wallpaper. It comes with registry tweaks, along with a XP crack registry file. It is unattended and preactivated.

The bootleg was made using nLite 1.4.5 beta 2. The ISO was extracted using ImgBurn V2.5.8.0, on October 19, 2013.

Changes from Windows XP SP3

  • The setup now uses the Windows 2000 style
  • New default theme, and wallpaper
  • New Aero cursor set
  • The Segoe UI and Calibri fonts are included
  • OEM branding is included
  • Command Prompt Here is present on any folders and drives' context menus
  • You can now register OCX and DLL files through their context menus of their respective files.
  • Device Manager has been added as a menu item to My Computer's context menu

Notes

  • The taskbar is unlocked.
  • The autorun has been removed.
  • "winXP_logo_horiz_sm.gif" from the CD is missing, but its HTM file where it's used still remains.
  • The Internet Explorer title is set to "Internet explorer proporcionado por GP".
  • The Internet Explorer search page and assistant is set to Google. A bunch of search engines are also included too.
  • The bootleg came out 2 weeks and 1 day after Windows XP SP3.
  • The CD label is set to "SHADOW LITE SP3".
