Windows Light XP 2008 is a bootleg Windows XP SP2 edition, which was created by Captain Majid of Mz-Files. It released in 2008, and was added to the archive on December 9, 2021.
Description
The bootleg is a stripped down Windows XP SP2 ISO with RyanVM Update Pack 2.2.1 integrated. It comes with its own boot selector, which comes with several utilities, most of them being in DOS, and of course the actual bootleg itself. It has had some programs, games, themes, wallpapers and updates added.
The ISO was made using nLite.
Changes from Windows XP SP2
- New setup background
- New boot screen, with a semi-transparent shadow added to the Windows XP text. The kernel filename is listed for some odd reason
- New login background and text
- New default theme, and wallpaper
- 4 new themes included
- 2 new screensavers included
- New icon set
- The sound scheme is a mix of Windows XP, the Samsung theme for Windows XP and the Plus! 98 "World Traveller" theme. The "Move Menu Item" event is assigned to a sound effect of a car driving by. The "Select" event is assigned to the Windows 98 "Navigation Start" sound. The "Question" event is assigned to a knocking sound effect
