* New boot screen, with a semi-transparent shadow added to the Windows XP text. The kernel filename is listed as "ntkrnlpa.exe" by default. This is due to Light XP's feature of allowing you to select different kernels.

* New sound scheme. The sound scheme is a mix of Windows XP, the Samsung theme for Windows XP and the Plus! 98 "World Traveller" theme. The "Move Menu Item" event is assigned to a sound effect of a car driving by. The "Select" event is assigned to the Windows 98 "Navigation Start" sound. The "Question" event is assigned to a knocking sound
