Windows 8.1 Fortnite Edition is a Windows bootleg edition created by an unknown author released in June 2018.
Description
The bootleg is very strange in the way it was made. The author used a Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro ISO instead of a normal 8.1 ISO to edit, and they supposedly use Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter as their host OS. NTLite was used to make the bootleg.
As for the few edits that were made, a few components relating to VPNs and what not and the immersive control panel are removed.
Changes from Windows 8.1
- The user avatar is changed to the Fortnite logo
- New Fortnite wallpaper
- Most of the telemetry has been disabled
- Two installers are added to the desktop, both in Public and the user's desktop directory. One is a Epic Games Launcher (Fortnite) installer, and another is a repackaged Discord installer with an old version of Discord Canary and a Discord token stealer
Software
- Fortnite (obviously)
- Discord Canary
- Chrome
