Windows Hitec XP SP3 2012 is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by Sayed Elhagrasy. It released on December 19, 2011, and was added to the archive on April 6, 2024.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO with DriverPacks version 11.08 integrated. It comes with some themes, a new wallpaper set, icon and cursor set. It comes with registry tweaks by Windows VistaInspirat.

It comes with its own boot selector. Through it, you can access Hiren's Boot CD (although a customized version of it by the author), and Mini Windows XP from Hiren's Boot CD 15.1.

It comes with its own autorun. Through it, you can access a program installer with many programs.

It is unattended and preactivated. The bootleg was made using nLite and Windows Unattended CD Creator, the autorun was made with AutoPlay Media Studio 7.1.1000.0, and the boot selector used was ISOLINUX 4.04.

Changes from Windows XP SP3

Minor changes

• The text-mode setup OS text is changed to "HITEC XP SP3 2012 BY SAYED ELHAGRASY". It is slightly off centered.
• The text-mode setup copying text is changed to "Please wait...".
• The System Properties dialog has been rearranged
• The Winver banner is changed to Windows 7's. The Winver dialog has been modified to look like Windows 7's.
• OEM branding is included, along with Support Information
• The shutdown dialog is changed

• Command Prompt Here and Open with Notepad are now included
• You can now register DLL and OCX files by right clicking them
• You can now open NFO files in Notepad
• ClearType is enabled by default
• WGA is disabled
• Internet Explorer simultaneous downloads is set to 10
• Internet Explorer's search provider and start page is now Google.
• Services can now be accessed through My Computer's context menu

• There is a Nero (7.0.4 Premium) button in the program installer, but the actual program file on the CD does not exist.
• The CD label is set to "hitec_diarb_negm".
• The CD has its own custom icon.

• The full name and organization is set to "islam" and "HITEC".
• The computer name is set to "HAGRASY".
• There is a "JoinWorkgroup" line, but there is nothing after it.
