Windows Marian 2010 (Also known as الويندوز المريمي in arabic) is a bootleg Windows XP SP2 edition, which was created by Ayoub Chaker. It was released on December 21, 2009, and was added to the archive on July 28, 2024.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP2 ISO. It is themed after Mary, the mother of Jesus. It comes with drivers, themes, screen savers and wallpapers, and a new default theme.

It is unattended and preactivated. It was made using nLite 1.4.9.1, and the autorun was made using AutoPlay Media Studio.

Changes from Windows XP SP2

Minor changes

  • The System Properties' banner is included, along with Support Information, which shows you the developer's name and his Hotmail account.

Changes in pre-desktop procedures

  • New setup graphics. All of the strings on the Setup are now in Arabic.
  • New boot graphics.
  • The OOBE is skipped by default
  • New login graphics.

Look and feel

  • New default theme and wallpaper
  • 8 Themes included.
  • 31 wallpapers included. All of the original wallpapers are removed.

Notes

Bootleg quirks

  • There are 2 shortcuts and a folder on the Desktop. These shortcuts lead to Help (CHM) files showing you a complete copy of the Bible, the other is for Synaxarium, which are in Arabic. As for the folder, it has a lot of Flash Player 5 based tutorials about the Coptic, which is also in Arabic.
  • The Arabic (Saudi Arabia) keyboard layout has been added.

  • The full name is set to "om-alnor-win".
  • The computer name is set to "omalnor".
