Notes

Remarks

  • When you're reviewing this bootleg, keep in mind that the ISO does not take advantage of the Joliet file system, so you will have to edit the ISO yourself to have it.

Bootleg quirks

  • The OS has drivers for the ALS4000 and some TV tuners.
  • The sample Winamp song has been replaced with "Hawthorne Heights - Ohio is for Lovers" (yeah...)
  • Some programs are hidden in the system32 folder and the shortcuts for these exist in the Administrative Tools instead of the Start Menu.
  • The Internet Explorer title registry key is set to the computer's username.
  • The Windows Media Player 6.4 (mplayer2.exe) title registry key is set to -=Unlimited=-, this disappears after the included Windows Media Player 10 has been setup.
  • QuickTime doesn't work.
  • The translator by default doesn't work correctly due to the incorrectly set non-Unicode language.
  • The default theme's title text is centered, which is something that Microsoft actually did during the development of Windows 8.
