Windows XP DeLuXe 2010 v2 (also known as Windows DeLuXe Edition 2010 2.0) is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by M. Baran. It released on June 27, 2010 (README file on the CD root says July 2010), and was added to the archive on August 4, 2022.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO, with DriverPack version 10.05.29, Windows XP Post-SP3 Update Pack (QFE) version 1.3.2 20100615 and OnePiece IE8 and WMP Update Pack 2.1.0.

It comes with a boot selector integrated. Through it, you can access Hiren's BootCD/LiveCD 10.6, Ultimate Boot CD 5.0.2, Acronis True Image 2010, Norton Ghost 11.5, Active@ Password Changer 3.0 build 0420 (cracked, registered to Horst Tacke) and Partition Magic Pro 8.05.

It comes with many visual styles and wallpapers integrated. It comes with a new icon, cursor and sound set. It comes with many hotfixes integrated, and registry tweaks. It comes with its own autorun, through which you can access a post software installer named Mars Installer 1.4, a video preview of the OS (both on the CD and a YouTube link).

On the first boot, a command prompt window will open, which will install the DeLuXe 2010 tools (which is full of customization utilities), then the OS will reboot.

It is unattended and preactivated.

The bootleg was made using nLite, the boot selector used was EasyBoot and the autorun was made with Advanced CD Launcher.

The setup bootstrapper text is set to "Press any key to go Boot Menu..."
The text-mode setup text first is set to "DeLuXe - 2O1O", then "Windows DeLuXe Professional Edition 2O1O |-> By M.Baran <-|"
All mentions of Windows XP in the EULA has been changed to Deluxe 2010
New graphics have been added to the System Properties and Support Information applets
All of the system programs have been given a makeover
The Support Information dialog has its window controls removed
The Run branding has been updated
The Winver branding has been updated
OEM branding is included, along with Support Information
Windows Media Player 11 has been given a WMP12 skin

Notes

Bootleg quirks

There is a tool you can access, that allows you to manage the shell extensions integrated into the system. You can uninstall or reinstall all the included extensions, and you can pick to install whatever shell extension you want.
The "Aura7" visual style doesn't work.
During setup, the Visual C++ runtimes will not install because it will try to locate a non-existent path.
