Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO with DriverPack integrated. It adds many new themes, and programs. It also comes with additional programs with a wallpaper pack accessible through the autorun.

It comes with its own autorun. Through it, you can install the bootleg, install additional drivers (using a modified version of EasyDrv borrowed from Windows Life XP 2013, which has been rebranded to "Skype Xp Drv By Omar Ragab"), install additional programs and exit the autorun.

Despite the bootleg being named Skype XP, this bootleg doesn't even have Skype!

It is unattended and preactivated. The bootleg was made using nLite 1.4.9.1, and the autorun was made using AutoPlay Media Studio. The ISO was modified with UltraISO 9.3.6.2766 on October 4, 2013 @ 00:06:28.

Notes

Remarks

  • There are many Android XP leftovers, for example in SVCPACK\SPEED UP.EXE you can see Android XP-related images. The ISO file structure is exactly the same, in fact, this bootleg was made 2 weeks after Android XP released, making this one a fork of Android XP. Along with that, the author got someone else to work with them on this bootleg, while they made Android XP by themselves.

Bootleg quirks

  • The default theme name for the stock Luna theme is now "Windows AnGeL Live" (ThemeUI.dll's strings has been edited), marking another case of asset borrowing from other bootlegs.
  • Internet Download Manager primarily installs its desktop shortcuts and Start menu program groups to a user directory named "hesham", expecting it to exist as the main user account, but this is not the case in this bootleg. The Start menu program groups only do show up because they also get installed to All Users, which will always show regardless of which user account you are logged into.
  • The regional language is Arabic, making this bootleg partially Arabic.

CD contents and other info

  • The CD label is set to "SkypeXp".
  • The CD has its own custom icon.
  • Sp3.cab in the I386 folder is dated October 4, 2013, yet all of the files were last updated in September.
