CosmOS v1.1 (stylized cosmOS) is a bootleg Windows 7 Professional SP1 edition, which was created as part of the CosmOS series by RON. It was released on November 9, 2012, and was added to the archive on August 9, 2024.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows 7 SP1 ISO, which boots to a customized PE based on Win7PE SE by default. On first boot, setup shortcuts will be generated. Through them, you can install cosmOS (x64 and x86), and the WPI (x64 and x86).

It comes with a new theme and wallpaper. It comes with its own WPI (ssWPI v12.11.6.12), with 100+ programs bundled. It comes with registry tweaks. It comes with its own autorun.

It is unattended and preactivated.

Changes from Windows 7 Professional SP1

Minor changes

  • Command Prompt Here has been added for files and folders.
  • New desktop context menu items. A wide array of programs (Autoruns, Calculator, Control Panel, MSConfig, MyUninstaller, Notepad, Regedit, Task Manager) adjacent to Paste shortcut, including Change Screen Saver, Change Wallpaper, Change Mouse Pointers, Desktop Icon Settings which are adjacent to Display (replaces Screen resolution), have been included.
    • As for My Computer:
      • It's just Advanced System Properties, Autoruns, Calculator, Control Panel, Device Manager, MyUninstaller, Notepad, Regedit, System Shortcuts and Task Manager.
      • System Shortcuts -> Administrative Tools, Change Date and Time, Change Regional Settings, Folder Settings, Control Mode, Internet Options, Network Connections, Power Options, Programs and Features, Run, Search, Services, User Accounts and User Accounts Classic
