Windows Byte XP Gamer Edition (Version 3.0) is a bootleg Windows XP SP2 edition, which was created by Byte. It was released on May 27, 2007, and was added to the archive on May 22, 2024.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP2 ISO. It comes with programs, screen savers, wallpapers, and a new default theme.

It is unattended and preactivated. It was made using nLite 1.3 on Windows XP Professional SP2

Notes

Bootleg quirks

When the Setup is copying files, the "bubbles.scr (Windows Vista Beta 2 Bubbles Screen Saver)" will "fail" to install. This is a bug in the TXTSETUP.SIF file, both files are present on the CD and the latter is clearly demonstrated as clear as day in the Gallery.
Styler was not installed by default, but you can install it from the CD Root
The System root's folder name was changed to "BYTEWIN"
