Windows XP Vortex 3G Red Edition is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 mod created by arabessam.

The branding of "Windows XP" and "Windows Vista" is very inconsistent in the OS, but winver implies it's based off Windows XP SP3.

Changes from Windows XP

  • The setup has been heavily modified and replaced with a custom setup engine, complete with animations and a slideshow with Quran verses which also silently installs programs in the background
  • The setup is unattended and does not require user input
  • The theme is styled after the official ProjectRED Windows Vista theme. A lot of the wallpapers and gadgets are sourced from official ProjectRED Vista promotions.
  • The start menu is changed to look like Vista
