AL_3BAAAS XP (named after the author) is a bootleg Windows XP SP2 edition, which was created by AL_3BAAAS. It released in 2008, and was added to the archive on May 13, 2022.

Description

The OS is a modified Windows XP SP2 ISO. It adds many new programs, themes and wallpapers, and cursors and icons. It comes with registry tweaks. It comes with its own autorun, and WPI. It is unattended, and preactivated.

On the first boot of the OS, a command prompt window will open which installs all of the included programs. Everytime a program is installed, the background and foreground colors randomly change.

Through the autorun, you can access things like Arabic localizations for Kaspersky, and the software installer. There is a video in the center, which is really long.

A bunch of links to Arabic sites and other places are dropped to the Favorites directory, along with some games (most of them being Flash games, from Absolutist.com) which drop to the Start menu's Programs directory. Most of the Quran gets dropped to the Start menu programs.

The ISO was made using nLite 1.4.1, and the autorun was made with AutoPlay Media Studio.

Notes

Bootleg quirks

An audio clip of religious chanting gets dropped to the Desktop directory.
The registry tweaks file (DGRT.reg) provided with this bootleg seems to be pasted 3 times, for some reason.
There are unused thumbnails for a truly ridiculous 24 copies of the Guest profile picture in User Account Pictures.
Changing into the other themes included takes a considerable amount of time.
The Internet Explorer window title has been changed to "AL_3BAAAS XP".
The Windows Media Player window title has been changed to "AL_3BAAAS XP".

All the contents of the install media are marked as Hidden except the AutoRun.
