TomatoLei (real name : Hong Lei) was an infamous bootlegging member from China, he was founded the webite of his said name and was active from 2003 to 2008. He is most notable for his bootlegged Windows XP releases which are commonly known as "Tomato Garden" or "Windows XP Tomato Edition". His releases were incredibly popular in China. They were estimated to have tens of millions of downloads.
However, the owner of the website was arrested in June, 2008 by Chinese police for piracy, which was at the time called "the nation's biggest software piracy case". In August 2009, he was sentenced to three years in prison. After his release, Hoang Lei retired from bootlegging entirely.
Later Tomato Garden XP bootlegs including ghost ones are made by LeiLei beginning in around late 2007 or early 2008, then he later started developping his own custom Android ROMs.
