When it comes to taking screenshots, it should be in PNG format, at minimum 1024x768 (unless the subject does not support that resolution, or a special condition, i.e. installer). Hypervisors like VMWare Workstation and VirtualBox have these functionalities built in, but the hypervisor/emulator you're using may be different, Also note that this is an unofficial "guideline" and shouldn't be treated as official.

For application screenshots, they should be cropped. In the case of Windows, you will need an external program such as AeroShot, which you can download here. In the case of Linux, there's a good chance a screenshot tool is present, and you can use that.

  ✔️ Good screenshot! At 1024x768, clean and default configuration.

  ❌ Bad screenshot! It's at 1024x768, however it includes wallpapers and programs not included with the mod.

Program shots

• 

  ✔️ Good screenshot! Transparency is seen, and no other graphics are seen as the main subject is the program.

• 

  ❌ Bad screenshot! While it is at default configuration, other graphics are seen, such as the wallpaper.
