Windows 7 xDark™ Deluxe v5.2 RG is a bootleg Windows 7 SP1 edition, which was created by mr. Citr3x. It released on April 29, 2013, and was added to the archive on November 5, 2023.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows 7 SP1 ISO. Like all the other xDark releases, this one is dark-themed and is packed with programs.

During the OOBE portion, registry tweaks get applied. On the first boot of the OS, xDark OS Configuration will run and do the following:

  • Install ClipName64 1.3.0, ExecParm64 1.3 and RegFolder
  • Install the included additional programs
  • Turn off hibernation
  • Enable TRIM by setting DisableDeleteNotify to 0
  • Cleanup, by running ie9.bat which sets registry keys for Internet Explorer 9 and install.bat which deletes the setup programs and startup file which ran xDark OS Configuration to begin with. It also restarts the machine

Changes from Windows 7 SP1

Minor changes

  • The setup OS text is changed to "xDark™ v5.2 RG".
  • Many new context menu entries have been added to the desktop, Computer, Recycle Bin, and other places
  • The setup copying steps' names have been changed
  • My Computer is now "xDark™ Center"
  • The desktop context menu is now loaded with new menu items.

  • New setup graphics. The hard disk icon in the partition selector has been changed
  • New OOBE graphics
  • New login graphics

Look and feel

  • New default theme, and wallpaper
  • New wallpaper set. Only the stock Architecture folder remains (which now has just 4 new wallpapers in it). 3 new wallpaper folders added, Digital Art (6), Dual (2) and Nature (4). Windows now has just img0, both have jpg and png versions. In total, there are 17 wallpapers not counting duplicates
  • New icon set
  • New cursor set. 3 new cursors included
  • New sound set
  • 26 new gadgets included (20 unused gadgets included)
