SinclairOS 1.0 Mac OS X (also known as Sinclair Macbuntu, Sinclair Windows 7 Linux) is a bootleg Ubuntu 10.10 edition, which was created by Vladimir Valakh. It released on February 17, 2012, and was added to the archive on April 6, 2024.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Ubuntu 10.10 ISO. A Windows 7 and the Macbuntu 10.04 theme has been applied to the OS, giving it a hybrid Win 7-Mac look. There are many new programs and games added.

The bootleg was made with RemasterSys.

Notes

Bootleg quirks

In the home directory, there is a "HELP!" folder. In it, you can find lots of instructions on how to do various things in the OS, Linux guides and tutorials and NVIDIA Linux 275.21 drivers. The root password is "sinclair", as mentioned in "пароль системы.txt".
The Windows 7 theme has lost its window frame and cursor set, only leaving all of its other elements.
The Start menu has a white tint applied to it. The Start menu's search bar has white text that is hard to see against the transparent menu.
There is a Relax FM m3u file for Audacious.
There is a torrent in the Deluge client, which is the torrent for sinclair-macbuntu-20120217.iso.
The user information has the author's ICQ number filled out, along with their city and country (Minsk, Belarus), website ([www.valakh.narod.ru www.valakh.narod.ru]) and profession ("Web-Developer").
There are also 4 language packs (en, en-AU, en-CA, en-GB) for Firefox 3.6, which are incompatible with Firefox 10.0.
There is a preconfigured VM in VirtualBox. It has this bootleg's ISO in it, although it doesn't exist. It comes with an 8GB disk, but it is empty.
In the Russian locale, the GFCEU shortcut name is "Super Nintendo", but in the English locale, it now says "Dandy Games".
The terminal foreground color is green.
