== Description ==
The bootleg is an infamous fake build of Windows Premiere Edition that was circulated around the internet for many years, first appearing on BetaArchive's FTP after being uploaded by betaguy224 in 2008. Despite his insistence that it was real, several things pointed towards it being fraudulent; the memory management system was identical to 1.01, despite Microsoft's claims that they'd rewritten the memory management, the inclusion of a file named WRITE.DAT which was known not to exist in Premiere Edition (this was later removed), and betaguy224 himself was infamous in the beta community for uploading fake build screenshots. Despite all the staggering evidence against it, most people thought it was real. A former Microsoft intern named Alias would finally dump the real OS on November 29, 2014.
