Wesmosis 2.5 (named after the author) is a bootleg Windows XP SP2 edition, which was created by Wesam A. Khalfalla. It released on August 28, 2007, and was added to the archive on November 25, 2022.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP2 ISO. It adds one new theme (and visual style), and many wallpapers. It comes with many new programs and updates, along with one cursor set. It comes with registry tweaks. It comes with its own WPI. The autorun is an edited version of the stock XP autorun, with the strings changed. It is unattended, and preactivated.

A bunch of links to mostly Arabic and Windows customization-adjacent websites get dropped to the Favorites directory.

The ISO was made using nLite.

Bootleg quirks

There are 31 unused wallpapers in Thumbs.db.
Mozilla Firefox comes with a lot of bookmarks preloaded by default.
Yahoo! Messenger comes with patches to remove its advertising.
Winamp's default song has been replaced.
The default username has been changed to "XPPRESP3".

CD contents and other info

The ISO has been stuffed with excessively large 2GB "z" files all over. It is possible that the ISO may be partially corrupted, or just simply broken.
VerbAce 2007 is meant to come with a crack, but both its paths are incorrect, as the folder name VerbAce is in is called "LingVoSoft", while its installer script refers to it as "Ling". Oh and another thing, the CDROM variable will not recognize any driver letters higher than J because of a typo. Though, this mistake exists in pretty much all the other ones, soooooooo...
You can find the changelog for the mod itself in the CD root, which have English and Arabic variants.
A serial number is listed as a text file in the CD root.
There is an empty text file called "CD.TXT" in the CD root.
There is a NFO file in the CD root.
There is an MHT file in its own directory (as "Help"), in the CD root.
The CD has its own icon. Speaking of icons, every folder on the CD has also been given a icon.
