Windows 1.01 Darklord Edition is a bootleg of Windows 1.01 (yes, you read that right), which was created by Sarachan. It released on November 18, 2019, and was added to the archive on December 10, 2021.
Description
This is a version of Windows 1.01 that comes in three different formats - a 3.5" floppy, a 5.25" floppy, and a live 3.5" floppy. They are all identical in terms of software installed. The setup process remains unchanged from stock Windows 1.01.
The OS itself is basically a compilation of all the software that was ever made for Windows 1.01 (although there are MANY more than what is available in this bootleg), packed into a single floppy.
Changes from Windows 1.01
- The OS now has a black and white theme, which fits the name of this bootleg well. The OS has not been updated to run in monochrome mode, though.
