Windows 7 Gold Edition 2016 is a bootleg Windows 7 RTM edition, which was created by Computer Media Team Pakistan. It released on May 9, 2015, and was added to the archive on December 13, 2021.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows 7 RTM ISO. It is themed after gold. It is unattended, and preactivated with Windows Loader 2.1.7.

On the first boot of the OS, a command prompt window will open, which will install all of the included software and apply the included custom boot screen.

Changes from Windows 7 RTM

Minor changes

  • OEM branding is included

Changes in pre-desktop procedures

  • New setup graphics. The setup window background is changed, some things have been changed here and there
  • New boot screen. The boot screen is already applied in Setup, but it has to be applied manually in the OS itself
  • New pre-OOBE graphics
  • New OOBE graphics
  • New login graphics

Look and feel

  • New default theme, and wallpaper. The glass color is changed to the default glass color "Sun". All of the regional themes are included
  • New icon set
  • New cursor set. The default cursors (the arrow, busy and working ones) have also had their large, X and XL variants changed. Many new cursors included, most notably recolors of the Busy and Working in Background cursors. There appears to be 14 different cursor sets

Bootleg quirks

  • Subway Surfers will only work properly in the 32-bit version, as the launcher expects the game files to be in C:\Program Files\.
