Windows 8.1 Panther Edition is a bootleg Windows 8.1 edition, which was created by BossKanae. It released on October 22, 2014, and was added to the archive on December 28, 2021.
Description
The bootleg is a modified Windows 8.1 ISO. It is themed after panthers. It comes with many programs, themes and wallpapers, new icons, and system tweaks. It is unattended, and preactivated, using KMSpico.
On the first boot of the OS, a resource patcher will automatically pop up and install all of the UI enhancements.
The ISO was made using WinReducer v1.11 and WinToolkit.
Changes from Windows 8.1
- New setup graphics. The initial setup background is now a closeup of a cat, and the initial setup window now has a background of a closeup of a panther. The setup background is a picture of a closeup of a panther's face. The setup window now has a red background, and a green-white gradient border has been added onto it. A picture of a panther with the text "BOSSKANAE EDITION" underneath it can be seen on the top right.

Notes
- The bootleg was finalized on October 21, then released a day later.
- "img100.jpg", a lock screen wallpaper, has had its watermark done improperly. It shows as "B o ss K a n a e S y s" (replace spaces with newlines), instead of "B o s s K a n a e S y s", like how it's supposed to be.
- Libraries are hidden by default.
- 6 unused images in Thumbs.db.
