Windows Batman XP V2 is an updated version of a Windows XP SP2 bootleg, Windows Batman XP, which was created by the same author. It released nearly 2 years after Windows Batman XP did, and was added to the archive on December 13, 2021.

A major difference between the two bootlegs is that Windows Batman XP V2 uses Windows XP SP3, instead of Windows XP SP2.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO. It styles the OS after the famous superhero Batman, and Windows 7, like its predecessor. It comes with less themes, wallpapers and programs than its predecessor, but is more polished and better-looking. In place of using RunOnce to install programs, a fully-functioning WPI has been added in its place instead, with new graphics. All of the included software has been moved there. It is unattended and preactivated.

The ISO was made using nLite.

Changes from Windows Batman XP

The text-mode setup OS text is changed to "B A T M A N", and the partition selector's OS text is changed to "BATMAN XP.V2 INSTALLATION" and is centered
The setup graphics has been completely refactored. It is now styled after the Windows 7 setup, featuring the progress bar and the Windows 7 setup window (which is slightly JPEG compressed). Inside the setup window, there is a new slideshow with detailed descriptions and many pictures
New boot graphics. The boot screen is updated slightly, with different OS and copyright text, and the Windows and Batman logos on the bottom right. The progress bar now uses the Windows Vista style
The pre-OOBE segment makes a return, along with the OOBE video
New login graphics
New default theme, wallpaper, icon and cursor set
8 new themes included
21 new wallpapers included
The cursor scheme now uses the Mac OS X cursors. The Working In Background cursor uses Graphite colors
New Windows 7 sound scheme
The autorun is more detailed this time
