Windows FD Professional (called "Microsoft Custom Windows XP 3.0" on the physical cover of this bootleg) is a bootleg build of Windows XP SP1a, which was created by an FD, a user on Suprnova, a defunct file-sharing forum. It was released in February 2004, and was added to the archive on July 5, 2024.
This bootleg is known to be one of the earliest Windows XP SP1a bootlegs, along with Windows XP Gold 5.5.
Description
The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP1a ISO. It was designed to resemble early Longhorn builds from that period. It also has a Post-Install on it, which installs some programs, changes the boot screen and the boot.ini file, installs some registry tweaks, and drivers for VIA RAID controller (ostensibly for SATA support). Apart from those, it is mostly stock.
It is unattended and preactivated.

Due to the fact we had squeeze all this on CD you are unable to upgrade from a previous verion. In conclusion you must clean install it.
Bugs fixed since last release: No T-13 inetserv extraction pop-up, Outlook no longer has the "Identity Switch Cancelled" error. Install folders will delete automatically. This version supports VIARAID SATA drivers. Everything is cool

- Despite the blurb on the back of the physical disc indicating that the bootleg contained updates up to December 2003, some updates from early 2004 are present, such as Q833407 (released February 2004), which edited out offensive symbols from the Bookshelf Symbol 7 font.
- A larger edition named "Windows FD Deluxe" is known to exist, with more additional programs included. The original torrent release of that edition, with infohash of
796c4fd00d43c7059a228ee0b5e5c045bee5b677, weighed 1.6 GB, which would have required a DVD. This release is currently missing.
Bootleg quirks
- The bootleg is inconsistently named - the boot screen refers to itself as "Windows FD Professional" (the name of the CD-ROM edition), while the wallpaper refers to itself as "Windows FD Deluxe" (the name of the DVD edition). This may indicate that the DVD edition was compiled first.
- All files and directories on the disc are all set to December 31, 2002, except for few files and folders in the Office 2003 installer, which has date of February 13, 2004, indicating the disc's building date/period.
- The English (United Kingdom) keyboard layout is now included.
- The time zone is set to GMT standard time.
