Windows Sagidoon XP 2011 is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by Emad Hafez of Sagidoon Computer Systems. It released on July 20, 2011, and was added to the archive on April 6, 2024.

The author is a local software engineer/technician based in Egypt, who made this specialized Windows mod solely for installing onto people's computers.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO. It comes with many themes, wallpapers and programs. It comes with registry tweaks by default.

On the first boot of the OS, it will install all of the programs on the CD. Then it will try to copy over 3 JPEGs to the D, E, F and G drives for some reason. D won't work for obvious reasons, because that's where the CD is. The JPEGs contain information and advertisements of the author and their local tech firm.

It is unattended and preactivated. The bootleg was made using nLite 1.4.9.1. The ISO was touched up with UltraISO 9.3.2.2656.

Minor changes

The default logon screensaver has received a new logo
The Explorer throbber icon is now a gray Windows logo on a black background
The Run dialog now has a banner added
The Winver banner and bar is changed
The logoff dialog is changed

The setup now uses the Windows 2000 style
New boot graphics
The OOBE background now has text written over it. It says "Sagidoon XP" in a Disney font.
New login graphics
New sound scheme. The startup and shutdown sounds, and the recycle sounds have been replaced.

Remarks

This bootleg heavily features the Disney character Pinocchio in its branding.

Bootleg quirks

The ISO is not bootable because the boot information, where the CD's bootloader is, is actually a compressed CAB file which has a junk file inside. And of course, it's gonna be pretty hard to boot from a CD using only a CAB file. You will have to add proper boot information into the ISO yourself, preferably extracted from a genuine Windows XP ISO.
The "eiad" theme's visual style is identical to branged's. This is also the case for the Orilla theme and the "sagidoon" default theme.
Internet Explorer's search assistant and provider is now Google.

CD contents and other info

The Windows XP Shutdown sound is packaged twice. The CAB archive inside is a partial copy, only half of the contents can be extracted.
There are files dating back to February 2011. The BLISS.JPG image is dated January 31, 2011.
The CD label is set to "SAGIDOON".

WINNT.SIF metadata

The full name and organization is set to "Sagidoongmail.com" and "0119800498".
The computer name is set to "EmadHafez".
The workgroup name has been left blank, despite the WORKGROUP entry being there.
