Windows XP Colossus Edition 2 Reloaded (version 7.5) is a bootleg Windows XP SP2 edition, which was created by DryKillLogic. It released on January 18, 2008, and was added to the archive on October 9, 2023.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP2 ISO, which comes with DriverPacks version 712 integrated.

It comes with a boot selector integrated. Through it, you can choose to install the OS with or without drivers, and Hiren's Boot CD 9.3. It comes with its own autorun, and WPI. Through the autorun, you can access "Herramientas" (Tools) which has some more programs for you to use, installers for various video drivers from different brands around the world (such as 3DFX, Asiliant, ATI, Intel, Matrox, nVidia, PowerVR, S3, SiS, Triton, VIA and XGI), an instruction manual, and others.

It comes with a completely new look (which, a large chunk of it carries over from one of two of the transformation packs from the WPI), along with some wallpapers and some visual styles. There are plenty of niceties on the CD such as a manual, a HTML-based README which heavily utilitizes framesets, and two other folders which can be just as easily accessed through the autorun. Although it has over 100+ programs included in its WPI (some being very large such as Microsoft Office 2003, Photoshop/Illustrator CS3, CorelDRAW and Macromedia Flash), only a handful are actually installed, and as a result the default software selection doesn't leave very much to desire.

It comes with registry tweaks. It is unattended and preactivated.

The ISO was made using nLite 1.4.1, or nLite 1.4 beta in the case of the XP setup base. The boot selector used was CDShell 2.0, and the autorun was made with AutoPlay Media Studio 7.1.1000.0.

Bootleg quirks

This bootleg comes with Intel HD Audio drivers integrated.
The taskbar is unlocked by default.
22 unused wallpapers can be found in Thumbs.db.

CD contents and other info

There are commented out entries for AppServ 2.5.9 in the WPI (they do not exist in the actual WPI files). Another copy of what is presumably the old config.js from an earlier period in development (or possibly an older release) has it uncommented, among other differences.
Hiren Boot CD's Mini Windows 98 is broken because the files for it do not exist.
You can find the instruction manual for this bootleg on the CD root, as the last option in the autorun and a file on the CD root, titled Manual de instalación.pdf.
The CD has its own icon.

WINNT.SIF metadata

System Restore is disabled by default, as specified in WINNT.SIF (the XP setup base, PRO1/PRO2 on the CD).
The full name and organization is set to "Colossus User" and "Windows XP Colossus Edition 2 Reloaded". PRO1 is the one with drivers and PRO2 is the one without drivers, by the way.
The computer name is set to "COLOSSUS".
The workgroup name is set to "INICIOMS" or "inicioms" in the case of the XP setup base.
