Windows XP Egyroz 2011 V2 is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by Ahmed Salem of That's Me. It released on February 4, 2011, and was added to the archive on August 6, 2022.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO. It comes with some themes and wallpapers. It comes with its own WPI (WIHU), with several programs. It comes with a stock autorun with new graphics. It comes with registry tweaks. It is unattended and preactivated.

The bootleg was made using nLite 1.4.9.1, and the ISO was touched up some using UltraISO 9.3.6.2750.

Changes in pre-desktop procedures

The text-mode setup text is initially set to "EGYROZ XPSP3 V2 > Ahmed Salem <". The bar below it is gone as well. When the partition screen appears it will change to "<<< EGYROZ XPSP3 V2 2011 SETUP", and the bar will reappear. The rest of the Windows mentions is replaced with the bootleg's name.

Notes

Bootleg quirks

A file named "2.exe" among others is meant to run on startup, but it doesn't work. That executable file is a SFX containing other SFXes, which will apply the themes, cursors and other tweaks that the bootleg comes with. You have to manually run it to get it, and even then it's compressed so you need to expand it using the EXPAND utility.
The Sachs Aquarium Fish screensaver comes pre-cracked by default, courtesy of the registry tweaks.
The Internet Explorer window title is set to "That's Me Internet Explorer".

You can find a README file and a internet shortcut to the Egyroz forums on the CD root.
