Windows XP Kinget is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by aymanking (full name: Ayman Khaled Kamel Sharaf, or ايمن خالد كامل شرف in Arabic). It released on November 2, 2011, and was added to the archive on January 3, 2023.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO, with drivers integrated. It mostly styles itself after Windows 7. It adds some programs, updates and a theme. It has a new autorun.

During setup, most of the software in this bootleg will get installed. A WindowBlinds patch will open, along with a macro which will automatically operate the patch. You have to help it along a bit because it won't type a path fully. FreeSkyCD.Cn will also pop up, but there'll be nothing in the path. You'll have to use the dropdown menu to install it properly.

On first boot, Avast Internet Security 6.0 will get installed.

It is unattended and preactivated. The ISO was made using nLite and Windows Unattended CD Creator 0.9.8, and the autorun was made with Advanced CD Launcher.

Bootleg quirks

The Classic Start menu banner is Windows Vista's banner, but some of the banners in explorer.exe are edited versions that say "Windows Seven".

The CD icon uses the autorun's icon.

The full name, organization and computer name are all set to "KINGET_V2".
The workgroup name is set to "workgroup".
