Windows XP SP3 Compact Edition is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by YLMF. It released on May 8, 2008, and was added to the archive on November 23, 2022.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO. It comes with a boot selector integrated, which allows you to pick several utilities to use (such as Norton Ghost, Partition Magic, and a homemade MS-DOS live CD, and more). It has minimal changes, only a theme and wallpaper, and some drivers and updates here and there, but that's about it.

It is unattended and preactivated. The ISO was made using nLite, the autorun was made with AutoPlay Menu Builder 5.1.0.341, and the boot selector used was EasyBoot v5.1.

CD contents and other info

  • There is a batch file named "WINNT.BAT" on the CD root that launches the legacy Windows setup.
  • There are two programs in the "Tools" folders on the CD root, which is a cracked version of Driver Genius, and a homemade file backup/restore program.

  • The full name and organization is set to "雨林木风" and "WwW.YlmF.CoM".
  • The workgroup name is set to "WORKGROUP".
