Windows XP Tornado Edition v1.2 is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by Mahmoud Abuzied of Zidosoft Inc. It released on January 14, 2014, and was added to the archive on December 12, 2021.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO, with xable's XP SP3 Update Pack 1.0.22 integrated.

It comes with a theme and many wallpapers. It does not have much to offer, other than its new look.

However, on the first boot of the OS, a program installer will open from which you can choose to install what programs you want (nothing by default). There are many programs selectable from this interface. You also get the decision to install extra drivers (uses EasyDrv installer).

The autorun is the stock autorun with the strings changed. It is unattended and preactivated. The bootleg was made using nLite.

Bootleg quirks

The Tornado Laser Soldier theme belongs to the Tornado Assasin series, the theme is mislabeled. It is a duplicate.

CD contents and other info

The CD label is set to "Windows Tornado V1.2".
The CD has its own icon.
All files in the CD root but the READ ME and the autorun executable have been hidden. Same goes for the folders, all but "I386" and "Software".
There is a READ ME file on the CD root.
The CD now has a custom folder background.
You can install EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition 9.0 from the Software directory.
