Windows XP El-Samoray is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by Ahmed Shokr. It released on February 4, 2013, and was added to the archive on April 6, 2024.

Description

The bootleg is a stripped down Windows XP SP3 ISO, with DriverPacks version 12.06 integrated. It comes with 6 themes, 73 wallpapers, and many programs in its WPI. It comes with registry tweaks.

It is unattended and preactivated. The bootleg was made using nLite 1.4.9.1, and the ISO was created February 4, 2013 on 12:10:19.

Bootleg quirks

  • In the WPI, half of the programs report warnings or failed to install messages. RocketDock will open a Flash projector for some reason. Foxit reports data errors.
  • My Computer, My Documents and My Network Places have been renamed to "damas computer ", "damas Documents" and "damas Network Places" respectively.
  • A menu entry named "win ElSamoray xp 2013**created by ahmed shokr" has been added to all folders' context menus.
  • The legal notice feature has been used here! The caption says "welcome to el.samoray xp by A.SH", and the text is:
