Windows 7 Night Edition is a bootleg Windows 7 SP1 edition, which was created for TeamOS by ModMaker89. It released in 2022, and was added to the archive on December 15th, 2022. It is notable for it's boot.wim setup being broken due to missing drivers.

Description

Windows 7 Night Edition adds a bunch of programs and themes. As well as a broken branding. It also completely changes the LogonUI.

A workaround to install this build is to boot a PE and install it from there. You can also use an existing installation of Windows.

Changes from Windows 7

  • The setup when running from boot.wim does not work, due to missing drivers.
  • The Windows Classic theme is applied at logon.
  • Brand new themes have been added.
  • A new boot screen has been added, albeit not by default.
  • The LogonUI has completely changed
  • Process Hacker is now the default Task Manager.

Software

  • AIMP
  • Firefox
  • Dexpot
  • Aero Media Player
  • Mem Reduct
  • Windows Live Messenger
  • Notepad++
  • 7-Zip
  • Process Hacker 2
